Leinster PP SF 'A' roundup

St. Aidan's, Knockbeg College, Moate CS and St. Peter's all enjoyed second round wins in the Leinster PP senior football 'A' championship yesterday.

Dublin's St. Aidan's knocked out traditional giants St. Mel's, Longford with a 0-15 to 1-9 victory, Knockbeg College accounted for St. Joseph's, Rochfortbridge 1-11 to 1-9, Moate CS defeated Westmeath rivals Athlone CC by 1-17 to 2-5, while St. Peter's of Wexford were 1-9 to 0-8 winners over Colaiste Eoin. 

The game between Good Counsel, New Ross and Scoil Dara, Kilcock finished level at 1-12 to 0-15 after extra-time.

The remaining three second round ties, including yesterday's postponed clash between Marist, Athlone and St. Pat's of Navan, as well as the Good Counsel v Scoil Dara replay, will be played next week.
