Rivalries in Kildare were put to one side this week as clubs gathered for a specially arranged Mass for Two Mile House footballer Adam Burke.

The Naas GAA club made the remarkable gesture by organising the Mass to allow their players and those of the Two Mile House club to come together and pray for the talented 20-year-old.

Adam, who was his side's top scorer in the historic All-Ireland club JFC final win in 2014, took ill while player for his club last month.

He is currently being treated in Beaumont Hospital and the Mass held in the Church of the Irish Martyrs in Ballycane saw the Naas GAA club members turn out in large numbers.
