Senior Football: Round 2 of the Senior Football Championship will take place this Sunday 14th August against Confey in St Conleth's Park. Throw-in is at 2.45pm. Please come along and support the team. The Reserve team face Sarsfields on Monday 15th August in Round 2 of the Championship in Clane. (Throw-in 7.30pm).
Kildare Ladies Football: Good luck to Kildare stars Gráinne Lyons, Tara Hallinan, Aisling Savage & Maria Moolick, who play Leitrim in the All-Ireland Quarter Final in Kinnegad on Sunday 14th August. Throw in is at 1.30pm.
Kildare Camogie: Leixlip GAA will host the Under 16 All Ireland Camogie Finals, on Sunday (14th August). First up will be the clash of Galway & Kilkenny at 1.00pm, followed by Kildare v Carlow at 3.00pm. The Kildare team is captained by our own Ciara Harrington - hopefully we'll get to hear a cúpla focal from Ciara at the final whistle. We require volunteers to help with the smooth running of the day. If you are available, please contact the address below.
Senior Camogie: The Senior Camogie team had a hard-fought victory over Kill last Monday evening, and this was enough to qualify for a semi-final against Broadford on 29th August in Eiré Óg.
Underage Football: The Under 16s launch their Championship campaign on Monday 15th August, with a home tie against Twomilehouse (Throw-in 7.30). They will play their second round on Friday 19th away to Sallins.
Teenage Camp: After its successful launch last Summer, the Teenage Skills Camp returns from 15th to 19th August. There will again be top quality guest coaches (including Kildare legend Johnny Doyle), with an emphasis on advanced skills, nutrition and strength & conditioning. The camp is aimed at secondary school students, and you can register by contacting Padraic Keane at 087 4194633
Summer Camp: Our ever-popular Summer Camp for 5 - 12 year-olds will take place from 22nd to 26th August. All boys and girls are welcome to come along for a week of skills, games, and fun.
Open Day: We will be holding our Annual Open Day on Saturday 27th August. Always great fun, the entertainment will include fun & skills games, bouncy inflatables, tug of war, BBQ, and maybe a surprise or 2. All the activities are FREE!
Buntús & Foundation Training Courses: On Saturday 20th August, we will be holding a Foundation Course in Go-Games for Football & Hurling/Camogie. The training course for the Irish Sports Council's Buntús Programme for pre-school children has been moved to the following Saturday 27th August. These training programmes will give all coaches the necessary tools to make sure our children get the most out of our sports.
