Clane GAA Notes

February 04, 2016

The Clane GAA 2nd membership day takes place on Sunday February 14th from 12 to 2pm in the club. All players are reminded that all membership has to be paid before commencement of training and matches. Adult membership is €100, Juvenile is €70 with family membership of €140.

All teams are now coming back to training over the next few weeks with the minor footballers out on 14th February away to Larries at 12 noon.

Hard luck to the Scoil Mhuire Senior footballers who went down to St Benildus of Stillorgan in the Leinster Senior A Championship semi-final replay on Saturday last after extra time - a gruel way to bow out of the competition but ye did yourselves proud.

The Clane Get Fit fundraiser is proving to be a massive hit so far. There are approximately 160 people participating with a view to losing weight, healthy eating, toning etc and the fundraiser is into its 4th week. Over 70 stone has been lost already after the first three weeks across the group. There are 2 more weeks left after this week and there will be a celebration night on the 27th February where all can show off their success. Well done all - it's great to see so many people walking the streets of Clane on a nightly basis.

Our Clubhouse Café is going from strength to strength these days - the café is open from 8:30 to 4pm Monday to Friday with various different specials on offer along with some of the best coffee.

Bingocontinues each Tuesday night @ 8:30pm. All are welcome to try win some of the prize money on offer each week along with Jackpot of over two thousand.

The lotto continues each week with the draw taking place each Saturday night in the club @ 8pm. Tickets cost €2 each or 3 for €5. Lotto results for Saturday 30th January. Numbers drawn: 1, 7, 10 & 25. No winner of the Jackpot with the four €25 winners Shane O'Donovan, Paddy Moore, Anita Egan & Margaret Mahony.
