Kildangan Club Draw
We are running a draw in association with Club Kildare Private Co-Op Draw from May through to August with sixteen prizes on offer every month. The top prize each month is a Renault Clio to the value of €16,600! Tickets cost €25 per month or €50 in total and are available from our club secretary, Maureen Fitzgerald. For more information, contact Maureen on 087 2286416. There are two draws left with July's taking place on Friday, 31st July. Remember, you've got to be in it to win it!

Kildangan Senior Football
The seniors faced Ballymore Eustace in the second round of the C Championship on Tuesday, 21st July. Ballymore opened the scoring with a Mark McCarville point, but Kildangan pulled away strongly to lead 3-7 to 0-4 at the break, with goals from Dara Gilbert and Ryan Moran (2).

Stephen Quigley scored a point to start the second half, but momentum really built up for Ballymore from then on. The introduction of Ballymore's Chris Dowling, who came on for McCarville, proved crucial as the substitute scored two goals. The east Kildare side were awarded a last minute penalty in injury time, scored by Ballymore captain Gerry Fennell. This meant that there was only a point between the two sides in the end, the final score Kildangan 3-13 to Ballymore Eustace's 3-12.

The team were given a valuable lesson by Ballymore in this game; the game is not over until the final whistle. Nevertheless, we finish second in the table after two rounds and go on to face Kilcullen in the quarter final. Date, time and venue to be advised.

Kildangan Nurney Ladies
The Kildangan Nurney ladies senior team overcame Castledermot 6-15 to 4-10 in round two of the championship. The girls took on Celbridge in round three on Sunday, and face Suncroft in round four this evening (Tuesday, 28th July), so please support. For more details on ladies football in the area, see http://www.facebook.com/kildangan.nurney

Abbey Rangers
The Abbey Rangers under 16 team begin their championship campaign this evening (Friday, 24th July) at home to neighbours Nurney. See our website for more details.

Fixtures for the minor championship were announced last week, with Abbey Rangers competing in the D competition. Rangers face Newtown Gaels away in the first round, which is due to take place on Wednesday, 5th August.

Kildangan Juvenile Football
Our under 10s travelled to Rathangan for round two of the league on Tuesday, 21st July, and both sides participated in a highly entertaining game. Each player gave a great account of themselves and this led to a very close encounter with the honours even at the end.

Our under 13s took on Rheban away in the third round of the league on Sunday, 19th July and won 4-3 to 1-9. They travel to Ellistown in a back match from round one, which is due to take place on Wednesday, 29th July with throw-in at 7.00pm.

Pigeon House Lotto - 20th July
The numbers drawn in this week's Pigeon House Lotto were 12, 14, 15 and 20 with no winner, meaning the jackpot remains at a massive €10,000! Congratulations to Frank Reynolds, Elizabeth Casey, Brian Heffernan, Sophie Stynes and Pauline Sexton who won €30 each. Please continue to support Kildangan GAA by buying a Lotto ticket, which are available from any Committee member at a cost of €2 each.
