Former Kildare star Tomas O'Connor scored four goals in a Boston club game at the weekend.

The big Clane man, who recently departed for the States, was in fine scoring form for his new club Wolfe Tones as they crushed Connemara Gaels on a 5-13 to 1-8 scoreline. Cavan's Dara McVeety also starred for the Dorchester-based outfit.

O'Connor quit Jason Ryan's Kildare squad following their relegation to Division 3 of the Allianz League in the spring. The Lilywhites will face Cork for a place in the All-Ireland quarter-finals at Semple Stadium on Saturday evening.
