Kildare have suffered a double blow ahead of Saturday's All-Ireland 2A football qualifier against Offaly with the departures of David Hyland and Darroch Mulhall from the squad.

It's believed the Athy duo have informed manager Jason Ryan that they will be spending the rest of the summer in the US. Hyland has played in all three of the Lilywhites' championship games to date, having replaced Ollie Lyons in the closing stages of last Sunday's crushing Leinster SFC semi-final defeat by Dublin.

Tomas O'Connor also quit the panel following Kildare's relegation to Division 3 of the Allianz League in April.
