The preliminary round of the Kildare senior hurling championship begins this weekend.

There are four games down for decision over the course of the weekend with the games being played on Friday and Saturday.

The action begins on Friday evening as Eire Og Corrachoil take on Maynooth at Celbridge at 7.30pm.

On Saturday, Leixlip and Confey do battle at Ardclough and 3pm and then there is a double header at Hawkfield as Celbridge take on Ardclough (7.30pm) and Clane face Naas (6pm).
