Senior Football

Kildangan saw off Ellistown at home on Monday, 15th June. The team had a strong start, but allowed Ellistown to come close before the end of the first half. A superb second half display from all players saw the Greens run out 3-12 to 2-8 winners. Kildangan played Round Towers in the semi-final yesterday (Monday) evening. For more information, see our website.

Abbey Rangers

The under 14s had an emphatic win over Cappagh on Sunday, 14th June. Rangers opened the scoring with a point and went on to do so regularly with some well taken scores to lead 0-15 to 0-1 at the break. This was assisted by a tremendous defensive effort from the Ballykelly Kildangan amalgamation. Cappagh got the scoring underway in the second half, but Abbey Rangers got back into their stride and sent over some great long range points. This, along with the hard work of the backs and half backs, saw the Rangers beat the North Kildare side 2-25 to 3-2. The team were due to play Grangenolvin yesterday in Ballykelly. Visit our website to find out more.

Juvenile Football

The Kildangan under-7 team hosted Ballykelly and Kilcullen in a blitz on Saturday, 13th June. An exhibition of football was provided by some of the youngest players in each club and we would like to say a big well done to everyone who was involved.

Our under 9 team travelled to Athgarvan last Tuesday with a big squad of players, and despite a very good performance, were unfortunately beaten by the home side.

The under 11s took on Robertstown in More O'Ferrall Park on Thursday evening. This encounter was a close one in which Kildangan eventually ran out winners, thanks to some excellent scores at the end of some great passages of play.
