Former Footballer of the Year Michael Darragh Macauley has declared he's in "perfect nick" ahead of Dublin's Leinster SFC semi-final against Kildare on Sunday week.

The Ballyboden St Enda's clubman was left out of the starting 15 against Longford last time out but, speaking to The Irish Independent, he remarked: "I wasn't where I should have been.

"I'm happy now. I have myself in perfect nick at the moment. As good nick as I've ever been in, to be honest."

Further bad news for Kildare fans is that Dublin manager Jim Gavin will also be able to call upon the services of Rory O'Carroll and Cian O'Sullivan for the penultimate stage clash while Denis Bastick is also expected to be fit despite having picked up an ankle injury on club duty with Templeogue/Synge St.

Ger Brennan is the only definite Dublin non-starter while Galvin has left the door open for forward Paul Mannion to return to the panel.

The Kilmacud Crokes ace is expected to return to Ireland in the coming weeks after a spell in North America.
