Night at the Dogs
Kildangan GAA Club visit Newbridge Greyhound stadium on Friday 29th May, 2015 for a Family Fun night at the dogs. This years event will benefit St Brigid's Hospice, The Curragh. Family entertainment will be provided including bouncing castles and a novelty race. There will be a colouring Competition for Kildangan National School with the winners to lead out Greyhounds on the night. A ticket for the night costs just €10, with under 14s free. This includes admission and race card. Local businesses are invited to sponsor races and have their name included on the race card. Senior Football
It was a busy week for the Kildangan senior team with games against Monasterevan and Rathangan respectively. The Barrowside Blues ran out 3-9 to 0-12 winners in More O'Ferrall Park last Monday. The trip to Rathangan on Wednesday was always going to be a tough one with only a day between the two games, but was a lot closer as the home team won by three points; the final score 0-15 to 0-12. Juvenile Football
The under 10s played Robertstown last Tuesday in More O'Ferrall Park. The under 12s travelled to Grangenolvin and came away from Murphy Memorial Park with a two point win, defeating the home side on 5-5 to 3-9. The under 10s are away to Sarsfields on Tuesday this week, while the under 12s face Nurney at home on Thursday. New players and mentors for these levels are always welcome. Abbey Rangers
Abbey Rangers, our underage amalgamation with Ballykelly, played the first of two finals on Friday evening. The under 14s contested the Féile C Shield Final against Castledermot on Friday 17th April at 6.30pm in Hawkfield. Abbey Rangers minors will play Milltown in the Division 4 League Final. No details have been announced as of yet, so please keep an eye on our website and social media to find out more.
Pigeon House Lotto Results - 13th April
The numbers drawn this week were 6, 20, 27 and 28. There was no overall winner, so the jackpot remains at €10,000.
