Kildare minor footballers kick off their Leinster championship campaign with a trip to Drogheda to take on Louth this Saturday.
The Lilywhites are favourites to come through this clash, but manager Brendan Hackett is taking nothing for granted.
"Louth have a very productive forward line who have racked up some high scores," Hackett told the Kildare Nationalist. "They beat us in an under-17 game back in November so we will definitely be on our guard against them."
Kildare can call on a number of last year's squad and the experience of Sean Healy, Conor Hartley, Ethan O'Donoghue, Rory Feely, Stefan Lawlor and Matt Kelly will be invaluable to them.
