Hackett looks ahead

March 25, 2015

Kildare minor manager Brendan Hackett believes that they have learned plenty from their Leinster MFL final defeat to Dublin.

Hackett was keen to take the positives from the game as he prepares his side for the Leinster championship opener against Louth on April 18th.

"You have to find out," he told the Kildare Nationalist. "You don't want to be finding that out in the semi-final or first round of the championship. You need to find out now and that is better than challenge games.

"It gives us a good indication of the areas that we need to work on. We are where we were at this stage last year. Fitness-wise, we'd be happy enough; we were short one or two against Dublin that would have made a difference but generally speaking we are happy enough with where we are and where we are going to be."
