Kildare under-21 footballers take on Offaly in their opening match this Thursday night.

O'Moore Park, Portlaoise is the venue for this match, given that neither county has grounds up to county standard and is floodlit.

Kildare manager Bryan Murphy and his selectors have been working hard with the squad over the last number of months and it all comes down to this match.

The Lilywhites are slight favourites to win this one, but they will need to be at their best to do so.
