Gary Connaughton has been named between the posts on the Westmeath team for Sunday's Division 2 clash against Kildare.
The former All-Star goalkeeper - who came out of retirement at the start of this year - takes over from Darren Quinn who is sidelined with a groin injury.
Also a selector with Tom Cribbin, the Tubberclair clubman will wear the maroon and white for the first time since 2013.
