Lawlor still wary of Meath

Kildare manager Brian Lawlor believes that Meath will be a different prospect in the Christy Ring Cup.

The Lilywhites recorded a ten-point win over the Royals last Sunday, which sent out a warning to all the remaining teams in the division.

Lawlor was delighted with his side's performance, but he admitted to the Leinster Leader that Meath could be a different animal in the Christy Ring Cup.

"I think that if we are to meet Meath again in the Christy Ring Cup in May that it will be a completely different story; they'll have different personnel I'm sure on the field that day," said Lawlor.

"I didn't see too many guys from Kiltale there and they are the Meath county champions, so I'm sure it will be a different animal we meet later in the year.

"We'd be a bit unhappy with our first 15 minutes but between the 18th and 30th I thought we really kicked on and laid the platform. We were seven or eight points up then and we never looked back."
