O'Byrne Cup final won't be televised after all

Sunday's O'Byrne Cup final between Kildare and Dublin will not now be shown by TG4.

It was widely reported that the Irish language TV channel was providing live coverage of the Newbridge decider, which is expected to be a 10,000 sell-out. But TG4 viewers will have to wait until Sunday week for the station's first live offering of 2015, which is the Allianz League opener between Kerry and Mayo.

It's not all bad news for armchair GAA fans this weekend as BBC Northern Ireland is showing tomorrow night's McKenna Cup final between Tyrone and Cavan at 7.30pm (behind the red button).
