No qualms from Kelly

Coill Dubh manager Paddy Kelly admitted that his charges were beaten by the better team in their Leinster club IHC semi-final.

The Kildare champions struggled against Kilkenny's Mullinavat in the provincial semi-final last weekend and Kelly admitted to the Leinster Leader that they were beaten by the better team.

"Mullinavat are a class team, they have no poor players on that team, lads with Kilkenny under-21s and minor All-Ireland winning players, but for the likes of us we just have to get up and have to get playing the likes of these teams more often if we are to improve and progress and even beat these types of teams," stressed Kelly.

"We have absolutely no complaints, the lads gave it their everything as they have done throughout the entire year."

Ironically, had Coill Dubh won last Sunday, they would face Kelly's native club Kiltale in the Leinster final, but that dream scenario was not to be.
