Current Kildare GAA chairman John McMahon is to face opposition from two candidates if he wants to retain his role.
The annual Kildare GAA convention will take place at Rathcoffey GAA clubhouse on Saturday, December 6th and the most interesting election will be that of chairman.
Vice chairman Ger Donnelly and St Laurence's clubman Mick Gorman have let their names go forward for the position, but it is not the first time that McMahon has faced opposition.
Two years ago, Donnelly and Athy's Marty McEvoy unsuccessfully went against McMahon who has been in the position since 2011.
Martin Whyte's five-year term as treasurer is up and so a new person will be appointed to that role with Alan Dunney, Shane Malone, Shane Kavanagh and Tom Cross all nominated.
