Brennan focuses on provincial run

October 15, 2014

Eadestown manager Dessie Brennan has already turned his attention to the Leinster club IFC.

Last weekend, Brennan guided Eadestown to their first intermediate football championship title in 18 years when they defeated Round Towers in a tense final.

The Kildare champions now take on the winners of the Railyard (Kilkenny) or Aughrim (Wicklow) who meet in the first round on November 2nd.

And Brennan admitted to the Leinster Express that he always had one eye on the provincial campaign.

"Leinster was in the back of my mind all the time. I know we're playing the winners of Wicklow and Kilkenny away in three weeks' time," said Brennan.

"That to me is the biggest prize of all; it's the best competition in the GAA. I've played in it loads of times with St Joseph's and I can't wait for it to start."
