Moorefield captain Ronan Sweeney admits that he has lost none of the appetite for his ninth county final.

Sweeney will lead the Moores into Sunday's county final against their Newbridge neighbours Sarsfields, which will be their fifth meeting in deciders as Moorefield have won four and the Sash taking just one.

Speaking to the Leinster Leader, the former county footballer admitted that a county final was different from every other match.

"A county final is so different from any other game," said Sweeney. "Particularly a Newbridge final; people will be here early; the atmosphere will be buzzing; a lot of nerves in the air; you can feel the pressure; the parade; a marvellous day and something to savour."

He added: "I think we can win every game we go out to play but I know its going to be tough, very tough, but I wouldn't go into any game not expecting to win."
