Rathcoffey GAA Notes for the Week Ending 22nd August 2014 Club Cycle The Rathcoffey Club Cycle will take place this year on Sunday 19th Oct. The cycle is a most sociable event and gets bigger and better each year. Now in its third year, the 2014 edition will cater for the increased interest in the event, with three routes available, including the usual long cycle to Blessington, starting at 10 a.m. and a local route for families which will start at 12.30. There will be food and refreshments at the clubhouse on return. More details and confirmation of the routes will be published shortly - please mark the date in your calendar. Senior Team Best wishes to our senior team who tog out against Ballykelly on Saturday evening 23rd August in their final championship group game. After two wins against Cappagh and Grangenolvin, hopes are high that the lads can progress to the knockout stages. Throw in at 5pm. Minors Congrats to the minors who got their championship campaign off to a winning start against Carbury in Staplestown last Tuesday night with a three point victory. The minor footballers are the future of our club - please lend your support to these lads. Bórd na Nóg Best of luck to our Under 16s in their quarter final against Athy tonight (Friday) in Athy. Throw-in at 6.45pm. Meanwhile our under 13s are out against St. Kevins on Sunday morning in Staplestown with a throw in at 10.30 a.m. Juvenile Section The Juvenile section is back into action for the Autumn season - please check with your mentors for training days and times. Club Lotto The Lotto jackpot has rolled over for several weeks and now stands at €3,500. The numbers drawn on Sunday 17th Aug were 11, 12, 17 and 23. The €20 winners were Katie Flood, Colm Moriarty, John Cleary and Hannah Flood. Meanwhile Dónal Travers won the sellers prize and Tony Campbell the in-house draw. You can purchase a ticket for €2 any evening at the clubhouse, or contact any committee member to pre-pay for several weeks or to set up a standing order. The draw takes place every Sunday night after 9pm. AGM The club AGM is scheduled for Sunday 23rd November. Christmas Dinner Christmas dinner will take place on Saturday 29th November this year.
