Leinster U21A: Lilies edge Wicklow in decider

Kildare held off a late Wicklow rally to claim the Leinster U21AHC by the narrowest of margins.
Sean Gainey opened the scoring for Kildare, but Wicklow enjoyed the best of the opening exchanges and lead 0-4 to 0-1 after 11 minutes.
Kildare steadied the ship and with the help of a Sean Gainey goal lead 1-4 to 0-6 at half-time.
A second Kildare goal from Cathal Egan kept their noses in front and despite a late onslaught from Wicklow, the Lilies held out by the minimum to claim the Leinster title. Tweet
