Hackett looks ahead
July 23, 2014
Kildare minor manager Brendan Hackett is already focused on the All-Ireland MFC quarterfinals.
Hackett was obviously disappointed to lose their Leinster title crown to Dublin in last Sunday's decider at Croke Park.
However, he stressed to the Leinster Leader that there was no point dwelling on the defeat and added that all their attention was now on preparing for the last eight clash.
"That's the end of the Leinster championship now," said Hackett. "We've an All-Ireland quarterfinal and that's what we've got to plan for.
"We play Kerry now. We've looked at Kerry and they are probably not as physically big as Dublin, but that's our target."
