Celbridge travelled to Kildangan for round two of the Junior B Championship and were unlucky to come up against a Kildangan Nurney team on top of their game. Celbridge were not helped by the fact that the were missing several key players due to holidays whereas Kildangan Nurney played with a full panel.

The final scoreline of 4:16 to 1:5 is a fair reflection of the dominance of the home side, who seemed to be able to pick off scores at will.

Kildangan Nurney led from the start and by half time were 16 points in front 3-11 to 0-04. The second half was a mirror image of the first, Kildangan Nurney continued to rack up the scores despite the best efforts of the Celbridge defence, who, to their credit never gave up the fight.


Next up for Kildangan Nurney is an away trip to Athy, Celbridge travel to Rathangan, both games are provisionally fixed for next Tuesday. Tweet
