Easter camp has come and gone this year again in Ballykelly. Many thanks to all the volunteers who work so hard every year to make it the success it is. The week was full of fun and games and many new friendships were made.55 children attended this year, a large amount and all went home tired and happy. Many thanks to Karrie, Tommy, Evelyn, Brendan and Edel who made sure everything ran smoothly, our coaches Eoghan, Owen, Ciara, Alanna, Caoimhe, Amy, Shannon, Sophie, Katie and Paddy who worked so hard over the three days and Kildare Senior footballer Thomas O Connor who was on hand to sign autographs and answer questions, many hilarious ones at that. Brilliant camp, roll on next year.

Well done to the U12 Monasterevin Parish community games girls team tonight as they saw off Eadestown in the Qtr final stage of the competition. Girls started very well in the first qtr and took a good lead with a scoreline of 2-02 to no score. 2nd quarter showed Eadestown get to grips and defend a lot better and only allow Monasterevin girls score 1 point throughout this qtr. 3rd Qtr saw Monasterevin get 2 hard fought goals but it was the final qtr that gave Eadestown their best chances, only for some excellent defending and goalkeeping to keep them out and stop them scoring. Monasterevin girls haven't had much time to bond as a team but have put in two very solid performances to date. Our parish team consists of players from the following clubs : Ballykelly Gfc, Ellistown, Kildangan, Monasterevin & Rheban. Final score Monasterevin Parish 4-04 Eadestown 0-0. Well done girls.

Our U10 girls were in action for the first time this year when they traveled to Round Towers for the first round of their league campaign. Each round is a blitz format. This round saw our girls play Round Towers & Sarsfields. Our girls competed very well and defended exceptionally well this morning. They were also very good at taking their scores when they got the opportunity and all girls from all 3 clubs played their hearts out. Many thanks to round Towers for hosting and it was great to see the abundance on talent that was on display.
