Performance pleases Sheridan
April 16, 2014
Kildare minor hurling manager Jim Sheridan was delighted by his side's performance against Westmeath.
The Lilywhites booked their place in the next round of the Leinster MHC courtesy of a 3-11 to 1-13 win over the Midlanders at St Conleth's Park last Saturday.
The result was something of a surprise as Westmeath were favourites to win, but Kildare were certainly worthy victors and Sheridan is hopeful that they can build on that performance when they take on Carlow in the next round.
Speaking to the Leinster Leader, he said: "I'm delighted with the performance overall but a little bit disappointed in some of our more senior players. The younger lads carried us through on the day.
Kildare have home advantage against Carlow which will be played at St Conleth's Park, Newbridge on Saturday week, April 26th.
