Flynn to return to AFL
April 14, 2014
Power Senior Coach Ken Hinkley welcomes Daniel Flynn to Port Adelaide.
Kildare's Daniel Flynn has indicated that he is ready to resume his fledgling Aussie Rules career.
The Johnstownbridge youngster, who signed a two-year international rookie contract with Port Adelaide last autumn, returned home last month, citing homesickness and a desire to be closer to his sick grandfather, who has since passed away.
But after attending an Aussie Rules training camp which was overseen by Tadhg Kennelly in London last week, Flynn has now apparently made up his mind to rejoin Port and won't be involved with the Lilywhites in this year's championship.
"They're giving me loads of time, but I think I'm going to go back," he told the Irish Daily Mirror.
"I'd like to go back, but I still have a couple of things to sort out with the club."
