Moorefield defender James Murray believed that they are in a good place heading into Saturday's All-Ireland club SFC semi-final.

The Kildare and Leinster champions take on Galway kingpins Corofin for a place in the All-Ireland club SFC final on St Patrick's Day.

It has been a long wait for this game, especially for Moorefield whose last competitive fixture came in the sensational Leinster final win over St Loman's last December.

However, Murray revealed to the Leinster Express that they have worked hard on getting the mentality right during the long lay off and he added that they are primed to go on Saturday.

"The first week back in after Christmas, Ross really got into our heads ensuring we were in the right frame of mind; really focused and in fairness every player, to a man, got stuck in immediately," said Murray.

"Remember that against Lomans we felt we didn't play particularly well for 55 or 56 minutes and that is something we will have to correct but since January we have worked very hard and we feel we are in a right place right now.

"It would have been better if we had the semi-final before Christmas but it's great to be here looking ahead to a semi-final rather than be looking forward to the start of the Aldridge Cup."
