The late Timmy Joe McCarthy Sympathy is extended to the wife and family of the late Timmy Joe McCarthy who died in the USA and was buried in Springmount Cemetery Duagh on Monday May 14th, 2007. The late Timmy Joe was one of the greats of Duagh football. He had a great success with Duagh and won many North Championships with the club in the fifties operating our of wing Shannon Tangers and his outstanding football ability was recognised and he was selected and played with the Kerry junior team. Many of Timmy's team mates have gone to their eternal rewards but some more with members of the present Duagh GAA club travelled to Castleisland to form a Guard of Honour as the remains of the late Timmy were removed to Castleisland church.
