The Late Sean Carroll Sean Carroll, 45, who passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends, was a former GAA footballer. Born on September 2, 1959, to John and Hanna Carroll, formerly of Ashe Street and St John's Park. Sean was one of a family of six attended CBS National School and Tralee Technical College. A staunch "Rockie" who played for and supported Austin Stacks GAA Club, he captained Tralee Technical College to Munster success on two occasions. He later went on to win an All-Ireland medal with the victorious Kerry Vocational School team over Kildare in 1977. Throughout his life he never lost his love and passion for GAA. Sean worked for Edmunds Walker motor factors, Tralee, and later for ten years in London with IBM. On returning, he attended the National Educational College and later cared for his elderly father. A man of great knowledge and folklore, he enjoyed a good relationship with his extended family and friends and will sadly missed by all. He is survived by his parents John and Hanna, sister Breda, brothers Michael, Pat, Gerry and Anthony, brother and sisters-on-law, many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncle and extended family.
