Eamonn Fitzmaurice has urged Kerry's old guard not to rush into any decisions regarding their inter-county future.

Speculation is rife that Kieran Donaghy, Mark O Se and Aidan O'Mahony will call it a day after yesterday's shattering All-Ireland SFC semi-final loss to Dublin, while there is also a question mark over the futures of Colm Cooper and Bryan Sheehan.

But Fitzmaurice, whose own future as manager is in doubt, has appealed to them to think long and hard before coming to a decision.

"Today definitely isn't a day to be thinking about it. I'd encourage the lads again to relax, it's time to take stock they can make a decision again in their own time," he said.

"There will be a lot of emotion and a lot of disappointment today so I would be encouraging lads to take their time before they make any decisions."
