Kerry manager Eamonn Fitzmaurice says he won't be starting Bryan Sheehan in goals against Dublin on Sunday week.

Rumours had been rife during the week that the Kerry captain was set for a surprise switch to the number one jersey for his county's showdown with the All-Ireland champions.

However, speaking to The Irish News, Fitzmaurice confirmed that he has no intention of starting the St Mary's Cahersiveen man between the posts at Croke Park.

"The team isn't picked yet, we're trying out a few things in training but no Bryan has not been training in goals for us," he said.

"It's one of these things that comes out in Kerry at this time of year especially when the gates are closed at training.

"We're leaving all the talk about it out though in terms of our preparation and others can be believing what they want out of it."
