Offaly must plan for their do or die Leinster SHC round robin clash against Kerry without their inspirational captain Colin Egan.

A broken rib picked up in the win over Carlow in the provincial series has ruled Egan out of the match at O'Connor Park, Tullamore.

Egan joins Conor Doughan on the sidelines as the winner of this clash goes through to the Leinster SHC quarterfinals.

Kerry defeated Offaly when the sides met in the league at Birr and they will be hoping of repeating that win.

However, with Shane Dooley and Joe Bergin in top form, the Faithful County will be confident of prolonging their campaign for another while.
