Kerry star Kieran Donaghy is set to continue juggling two sports after being named on Tralee Town BC's roster for their upcoming National League campaign.
There had been speculation that the four-time All-Ireland winner would call time on his basketball career after helping St Brendan's to national intermediate club championship final glory back in January off the back of an MVP performance.
The 33-year-old was also thought to be considering his future with the Kingdom after last year's All-Ireland defeat, but he has been a revelation during their league campaign and is now set to continue with his duties on the court as Tralee will compete in the top tier of Irish basketball for the first time in seven years.
"There's a huge buzz around with Kieran coming back," Tralee Town BC Chairman John Dowling told RTE Sport.
"It wouldn't have been possible to make the step up without both clubs working together and people feel like this is going to be a team for the town of Tralee."
