Kerry boss Eamonn Fitzmaurice has admitted that his side were second best to Dublin in last night's National League opener at Croke Park.
The Kingdom went down on a 2-14 to 0-14 score-line to the All-Ireland champions and afterwards Fitzmaurice offered no excuses for the defeat.
"We were well beaten," Fitzmaurice stated. "We played well in the first 15 minutes before half-time. But in the second-half Dublin took over.
"We're lucky we don't have a minus 10 or 12 points difference going down the road.
"It was a tough night and we didn't really see it coming. I felt there would have been more bite to the lads tonight."
Kerry's next outing is this coming Sunday when they host Roscommon at Fitzgerald Stadium in Killarney.
