Brian Cuthbert admits it won't be easy to rally his Cork troops ahead of next Saturday's All-Ireland SFC qualifier round 4A clash against Kildare.
Speaking to RTE following this evening's five point Munster SFC final replay defeat to arch rivals Kerry, the Rebel County boss conceded: "I think it's going to be quite difficult and it a real test of the character of the team.
"It's certainly going to be a very difficult couple of days getting back on the wagon again and getting ready to face Kildare.
"It's going to be difficult but that's where we find ourselves right now and we're just going to have to dig ourselves out of the mire and go again."
Paul Geaney's 50th minute goal was the turning point in this evening clash according to Cuthbert.
"Certainly at half-time I felt we were well in the game but, to be fair to Kerry, after 15 minutes of the second-half, once they got the goal, they controlled the game. We made a couple of mistakes and were just a bit unfortunate.
"The wind was very strong out on pitch side. Even though we weren't scoring, we were in control of the game I felt. Once they got the goal and got their noses that much in front they defended very well and we found it very difficult to get through."
