Kerry hurling manager Eamonn Kelly has switched his focus to Down on May 2nd.

The Kingdom sealed promotion to Division 1B on Saturday but there's little time for celebration as the championship is just around the corner:

"We were all elated afterwards, it was a fantastic feeling," Kelly told The Irish Independent after his team's stunning victory over Antrim in Parnell Park last weekend.

"But we have Down coming down here in three weeks' time in the Christy Ring Cup so we have to get back training and really get our focus back

"We were rank outsiders against Westmeath and Antrim, waiting in the long grass for both of them which really helped us, and that's what Down will be doing now, so we'll have to be prepared for that.

"Having a home game is always a help, our support is okay, but it would be great if even more people could get behind the lads now."
