Westmeath "more established" - Kelly

Kerry hurling manager Eamonn Kelly expects a tough test against Westmeath this weekend.

The Kingdom will be seeking their third successive victory over the Lake County when they welcome them to Austin Stack Park on Sunday afternoon, but Kelly is quick to defer favouritism to the visitors:

"Westmeath are certainly further down the road than we are," the Tipperary native says in The Kerryman. "They'll feel that they were caught the last day [against Derry] in that it was a goal got in injury time to beat them, so they'll be hurting. They'll be coming all guns blazing.

"They know they have to win this. They've an awful lot to play for. They're a step ahead of us. They're in the Liam McCarthy, they're more established in their team at the minute, so it'll be very difficult for us to get a result out of it."
