Maurice Leahy was a proud man after Causeway won the Kerry U21 HC on Sunday.
Leahy's charges defeated Ardfert by double scores in the decider at Austin Stack Park and Kerry's longest-serving county manager of all time told The Kerryman afterwards:
"These are a special bunch of lads. Eight minors starting, four of them minor again next year. There's serious talent in Causeway now, but they have to drive on from here. If they keep working, they have serious hurlers.
"I was so proud of them. They were excellent. It was fifteen-man hurling. We have done a good bit of work with this team, to be fair about it. We worked hard hooking and blocking, and it showed."
