AFL International Combine gets underway

The fourth AFL International Combine gets underway in DCU today.

The event will see 23 Aussie Rules hopefuls from Ireland, the UK and Denmark undergo a series of tests focused on agility, endurance, vertical jump, speed and skills under the guidance of AFL International Talent Manager and former Kerry and Sydney Swans star, Tadhg Kennelly.

The International Combine will run throughout the weekend and will target some of the best young players in the GAA.

Among the GAA players to embark on AFL careers in recent times are Kildare trio Paddy Brophy, Sean Hurley and Daniel Flynn, Louth's Ciaran Byrne, Cork's Ciaran Sheehan and Cian Hanley of Mayo.
