Keane a relieved man

Brosna manager Jimmy Keane admits he had his doubts during the Munster junior club football championship final.

The Kerry champions eventually came out on the right end of a 0-15 to 2-6 scoreline at Mallow last weekend but Keane says plucky Limerick representatives Glin gave him plenty of headaches:

"I can't believe it, I really thought for long periods today that we weren't going to do it," he concedes in The Kerryman.

"We didn't play like I know we can and I thought Glin played well. They put it up to us and we had to respond and thank God we managed to come through in the end.

"Glin put it up to us as one would expect in a Munster final. They were clinical up front and won nearly all the loose ball on the day.

"We struggled to get going at times and it would be fair to say we over-elaborated in the first half. However, we spoke about that at half time and the lads put it right in the second half."
