Austin Stacks captain Barry Shanahan is confident that there's more in the tank.

Having captained the Tralee club to Kerry and Munster senior club championships, the Stacks full back is now turning his thoughts to the All-Ireland semi-final clash with Slaughtneil of Derry in February:

"I'm convinced there's two or three more gears in us because it's primarily workrate and winning hard ball that gets you through a game in December," he states in The Kerryman.

"Skilful football can only carry you so far at this time of year, so I think we'll see a different Austin Stacks team in the All-Ireland semi-final.

"We have a very united bunch. We have been through thick and thin together but we have learned a lot from the bad days and that's why we are where we are today."
