Eamonn Fitzmaurice is satisfied with the appointment of David Coldrick to referee Kerry's All-Ireland SFC semi-final meeting with Mayo.

The Meath official took charge of the Kingdom's league opener against Dublin in February and the Kerry manager described his performance as "below par". However, the dust has now settled on that one, according to Fitzmaurice:

"That night, I was frustrated after the game," he comments in The Irish Examiner. "Dublin had beaten us by a point that I felt we should have won. It was the first weekend of the league and it was a bit early in the year to get excited.

"I said it that night as well that David Coldrick is a top referee. I've no fear about him. We've enough to be doing concentrating on our own thing than worrying about him, to be honest."

Meanwhile, Fitzmaurice expects Bryan Sheehan to be fit for the clash with the Connacht champions.

The midfielder was forced out of the Kingdom's quarter-final victory over Galway with a hip injury but will take part in an in-house training game this weekend and should be good to go on Sunday week.

Stephen O'Brien should also be available, but Paul O'Donoghue and Daithí Casey remain sidelined.
