Kerry SFC: no five-in-a-row for Crokes

Just like Kerry in 1982, Dr Crokes' dreams of a five-in-a-row of Moynihan Cups have been extinguished.

The Killarney club's long reign as Kerry football kingpins was ended this evening when they lost to local rivals Legion by 0-17 to 0-15 in the third round of the SFC at Lewis Road. Their cause wasn't helped, of course, by the absence of Colm Cooper with a cruciate ligament injury this year.

Elsewhere, there were wins for Laune Rangers, Mid Kerry and Shannon Rangers.
