Kerry will take on Sligo in the All-Ireland junior football championship semi-final.

Last week, the Kingdom claimed the Munster title when they defeated Cork in the final in what manager Stephen Wallace described as 'Kerry football in its purest' at the final whistle.

A strong Sligo side awaits in the semi final and this will be a repeat of the 2010 All-Ireland final when the Connacht side came out on top.

Sligo defeated Leitrim in the provincial final, but they have lost a couple of players to their senior squad since then and will be weakened by that fact.

A date for the semi finals has yet to be scheduled, but they are generally played the second week of August. Leinster champions Cavan play the British champions in the other semi final.
