For the first time in his managerial career, Eamonn Fitzmaurice will lead a side out in an All-Ireland final at Croke Park this Saturday afternoon.

The Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne manager will lead his side out against St Patrick's Maghera in the Hogan Cup final. Could this be a sign of things to come, who knows, but one thing for certain is that Fitzmaurice is not looking beyond this weekend's match.

"I'm not sure would there be the same razzmatazz if the final was on in another venue than Croke Park. However, I know from being there with Kerry and with Finuge last year not to dwell too much on the Croke Park factor because it counts for nothing if you lose," he told the Kerryman.

"That's the focus we're putting on this game, it's all about winning the match first and all the accolades and acclaim that come with winning can be bestowed upon afterwards."
