Mick O'Dwyer is back in management and, no, it's not an April Fool's joke.

The 77-year-old Kerry legend, who announced his intercounty retirement two months ago, having managed Clare in 2013, is the new manager of the Waterville / Dromid Pearses U14s in his native Kingdom.

"I told them I'd give them a hand and the next thing they appointed me manager! There are two lads from Dromid there on the team too," he tells The Irish Examiner.

"There's basically a lot of work to be done but we started only three weeks ago and there's plenty of time to get them in shape.

"It keeps my hand in at least. They're turning up anyway and we're going to do the best we can."
