Munster champions Dr Crokes made sure they ended 2018 in style after defeating Kilcummin by 3-24 to 1-8 in yesterday’s East Kerry senior football final.

Pat O’Shea’s side had already captured a fourth league title in-a-row earlier this month with a 2-20 to 3-12 win over Kerins O'Rahilly's and yesterday's victory certainly capped off a memorable year for the Killarney club.

The undoubted highlight came in the first-half when Kieran O’Leary’s sensational 25-yard strike hit the back of the Kilcummin net.

The former Kerry captain’s goal (which can be seen below) came off the back of some superb build up play and sent Crokes towards an unassailable 2-11 to 0-2 lead.

Next up for the Kerry champions is an All-Ireland club SFC semi-final date with giant killers Mullinalaghta on February 16th.
