Dr Crokes’ Gavin White admits that they were determined to make up for last year’s disappointment in the Munster club SFC final.

Last year, Crokes came up short against Cork champions Nemo Rangers in the provincial decider, but they were not about to lose two finals in a row as they powered their way through this year’s campaign beating Clare’s Miltown-Milbay in the end last Sunday.

White, who gave a man of the match display, stressed to the Kerryman that the aim from early on in the year was to get back to a Munster final and lift the title again.

“We all wanted to come up here and get back to the Munster final after what happened last year. We were all very disappointed last year after the performance and we wanted to right those wrongs,” said White.

“Of course, it’s a step along the way to an All-Ireland final in Croke Park hopefully, but coming up here we had all eyes on the Munster final and that only.”
